Poem for Younger Me

This month I have been loosely following along with a few different people who are sharing daily poetry prompts. April is National Poetry Month, so poets are sharing and encouraging others to write.

This prompt came from Winter Tangerine. It prompts poets to “write a poem a younger you needed to read.”

Here is what I wrote.

You are worthy of:

  • counseling and treatment
  • people who stay
  • space to express emotions honestly
  • sunny days
  • a boy who loves you back
  • compliments on good and bad days
  • love, even when depression tells you otherwise
  • buying TOMs
  • friends who invest in you
  • caramel iced coffee
  • mentors who never stop believing in you
  • self-love

I hope this is encouraging to you as well.

Love,

Moriah
