Subscribing to Seamwork Magazine

I recently signed up for a Seamwork Magazine subscription.  I have been eyeing some of their patterns for over a year, but haven’t had much time in the past few years to sew leisurely. This summer I am only (in my mind anyway) working full-time. I graduated from Grace College and Theological Seminary with my Bachelor of Arts in Counseling in May.  Since I normally have worked full-time while taking summer classes I have had more time on my hands.

Extra hours in the day led to more work in my Etsy shop Owl of It and, more recently, sewing apparel for myself.  A few weeks ago I finally made the leap to subscribe and let me tell you; I am in love.

Not only do I get to pick out two new patterns every month, but there is also a release of a magazine and two new patterns as well!!  Each magazine contains the newly released patterns along with fabric suggestions, ideas to change up the pattern for different looks, and inspiration for your own creations. Seamwork also includes instructions for new techniques.  Even though I’ve been sewing since I was eight years old there are many lessons that I have learned through reading some of the past issues.  I love that their techniques and inspiration are alongside with the patterns that they release.  You aren’t just learning new skills, you are making awesome clothes.

Last weekend I tried out my first Seamwork pattern & I am very impressed!  I chose the Moji pattern.  It’s hard for me to find pants that fit well, so I am looking for patterns that I can use.  There will be a post coming soon about my experience with the Moji.

Sneak Peek!!!  Also, look at that craaaaazy TOMS tan….

I printed out the PDF pattern and then taped it together using the handy dandy “map” that they provided.  I have used other downloadable patterns that were super confusing.  Seamwork makes it simple to figure out the correct way to put 80 pages of paper into the pieces that you need.

There are many pages of instructions all contained in a PDF file that you can download, and choose to print if you desire.  The many images helped me to feel confident in what I was doing.

Believe me, you will be hearing a ton more about Seamwork in the future.  I have plans to try out a few more patterns this month!

AND I have good news for you.  Seamwork has an awesome referral program.  If you click on my referral link you will get your first month at 50% off!!!

That is $3.  Amazing.

Click on this link to try it out! And if you subscribe and use a pattern, I want to hear about it 🙂
